It allows you to connect turbo cards with a DIP64 connector to the outside of A500/500+ (we remove the internal MC68000 processor!), in A500+ boards (rev. 8A and 8A1 we use it directly), in A500 boards (rev.6A) we short the JP6 jumper at the Amiga edge connector
